Crystal Balls
We all want to be able to predict the future. A crystal ball would be nice, perhaps two would be better. Yet no one wants to know the future.
We are all born with a fatal condition known as life. The uncertainty of life makes future predictions difficult, but if you want to predict the future, are you willing to give up your biological balls--or female equivalent? If so, a class gave me a dart board (circa 1971) to demonstrate the end point.
Want crystal balls?
Now many of the chance distribution events, known as people, I bump into believe in God and know "I am going to Heaven." You are sure? Yes? You are sure and want to go? Yes. Now? Eh--no. And about half of the dedicated atheists when asked if this life is it get a far away look and muse..."Well, there is probably something out there." So hope--and green beans. On a given day, plant some green bean seed. With luck (or chance) 59 days later, you can have a fresh green bean. Have the water boiling as you pick them. Never a sweeter taste before the fructose begins changing.
Crystal balls have a bit to offer in human kinds rules--mother nature smiles about our predictions concerning her.
